New here, just wanted to share
Hi Everyone!
I'm new here but I really wanted to share this with people who know what I'm talking about! I had
lapband on 6/12/2008 which went great and today I had my first fill. I was down 8lbs since surgery,
and 27 total !(pre and post op). I' m Sooooo excited (except for the 2 days of liquids!!) Wish me luck
when I go on solids, that I won't get sick (my worst fear). If anyone has some good suggestions for
easily digested foods PLEASE let me know! Thanks for now.

Hi Teresalynn,
First of all I'd like to welcome you here to this wonderful group. Even tho I don't post much, I still read and try to keep up with everyone. I had Lap Band on 11/29/07, and so far everything has been GREAT as far as the surgery is concerned. I would do it again tomorrow. I've had 2 fills so far and the best advice I can give you after one, is to chew, chew and chew some more before you swallow anything. It's kinda like right after your surgery, cause you just don't know how tight that band is yet. I would suggest you start off with the good ole eggs, they are always easy to chew and by doing this, you can see just how tight your band really is when it's introduced to food. Just remember to take small bites when you're eating, I know sometimes I still take too big a bite of things and get choked and get that frothing feeling. I don't know if you've experienced that yet or not, but it's no fun! Hope this helps you....
Hugs,

So, while here, you will need something to sit on. May I offer this Losers Bench as a place of rest after a long day of walking. May it be a place of comfort while sipping on your favorite beverage. Most important, may this bench be splinter free!
Congrats on your surgery and keep us posted on your success!
If you would like a copy of this Losers Bench, please send me a PM with your home email address.
