Looks like a spinal fusion for me

Well, I had the 2nd epidural steroid injection and it didn't work either.  I talked to my neurosurgeon last Friday and he said if this one didn't make it better, then there is no sense having the 3rd.  So, I am supposed to call him tomorrow to schedule surgery.  I AM NOT looking forward to this.  I'll let you know more when I get it scheduled. Please keep me in your prayers.  I had prayed I wouldn't need this surgery, but it doesn't look like there is anyway out of it. Marilyn

Marilyn I was a member of  this forum before and got scared out of my surgery.   Spinal issues have brought me back.  I had a spinal fusion about six weeks ago and will be praying for you.    I am looking at weight loss sugery instead of a further spinal fusion.    For certain you will be in my prayers. Marilyn I am sorry to hear that you are having such difficulties with this problem..  you have been going through so much with it...  it sounds very painful also.  I surely hope the doctor is able to find some other alternative...  I don't know anything about this type of surgery.  We take our back health for granted.  But when it goes out on us, or has problems like bulging, ruptured discs, and like your problem, wow it can be almost debilitating. Please take care of yourself and keep us posted.  I hope it gets better.

Marilyn, I"m sorry it has come to this. I was hoping the steroid injedctions would work for you. I didn't get any relief from it either and so didn't go for a second one yet. But physical therapy does seem to be helping so I'm going to continue with that. I have 2 more weeks to go then I will be on my own. I hope everything goes well with whatever you decide to do. Blessings, Karen

My neurosurgeon is out of town starting today until July 9.  So, I will have to keep doing 5 day a week therapy until then.  I am really tired of being in pain.  Please keep praying that something will give, maybe a delayed reaction to the steroid! Marilyn
