Knee "Procedure"

Since my RNY won't be until August my orthopedic surgeon has decided to go ahead and "scope" my knee next week.  It's an outpatient procedure but I will be under general anesthesia.  We are hoping clearing the "debris" in the joint will ease my pain. The bad thing is it is next Tuesday which is the group therapy meeting (and the Protein Party!) which I don't want to miss.  If at all possible I will be there but I may be dopey.

Well, I'm usually dopey even without anesthesia!   Bwahahahahaha!!!

Doing great - Thanks for asking!  I'm 1/2 way to my goal and it gets better every day so far!!

Hi Blush. I've had my rt. knee scoped twice and cut once so I know the feeling. You probably will not be able to make it to your therapy meeting because of the general anesthesia but some people bounce out of the surgery not groggy at all. Every surgery that I've had has been different. I hope you breeze through it and get to go to the protein party.

I am trying to be optimistic but now I won't feel like a personal failure if I can't make it.
