For those that asked, here is an update
Hello Everyone,
I went to my second post-op appointment yesterday and back to the eye doctor. I am doing as well as to be expected at this point, however being on the computer right now is difficult due to my eyes. I still do not have much energy and my blood levels are still low, but not enough to warrant another transfusion at this time. Each day is different, as to how I feel and as to how I am able to see. My eyes are improving slowly, but this has added to my stress and depression. There is nothing much scarier than taking a nap and waking up and not able to see!!! This really is depressing and very disturbing. Other than this, my surgery is doing very well. I am down to one drain in my hip; he removed the two in my groin area yesterday YEAH!! Those hurt a lot and hopefully now that they are out Dr. Tiereny expects the swelling to drop tremendously. As of now, I am not sure if I will be at the Lunch Bunch, I have to take it an hour at a time, because how I feel changes very rapidly. If I do not get to make it everyone have fun and I may be able to catch the Dinner Club!! Thanks again for all those that have sent PM’s, called, cards, flowers, and just coming over to check on me to help out. Todd and I are very grateful to all my OH friends.
Love you all!!

Glad to hear things are improving, even if slowly. All you can do is take it one day at a time. I hope you will be able to make it to lunch. I'd like to see you without the padding of surgical dressings. I know you are going to be teeny when all the swelling goes down.
