I'M BACK HOME!! I'M A LOSER
Hey guys, I just wanted everyone to know that I am back home. I was able to come home yesterday around lunch. Dr. Lynch said he would have sent me home on Wednesday but I lived too far away and wanted one more day of observation. I was up walking with 45 minutes after surgery on Tuesday and I thought.......this is going to be easier than I thought! Then Wednesday came and boy WHAT A DIFFERENT DAY! I was so sore I could barely raise myself up out of the bed. Every muscle from head to toe was hurting in my body. Thursday was pretty much the same way. I even began to feel a bit sick. I think we discovered it was the jello and the pain medicine.
Today I still have a lot of pain on my left side. Dr. Lynch said that is the incision where the stapler was put in. Do you remember how long your pain lasted? It is also very red around 2 of my incisions. At what point do I call the doctor?? I figured that most of the pain is pretty typical with the surgery.
I would like to thank those that came by the hospital to see me. You have given me so much advice and I know that I am going to need it!!! I am so thankful that we have you for support and questions. You guys are so awesome Thanks also for updating everyone about my surgery!
Once again, thanks for all of your prayers! God is so good!
Welcome home yourfriend and welcome to the loser's bench. You will be sore for a while on your left side. I developed an infection in one of my sites and I think I was sore longer than normal. I slept with lots of pillows and didn't move much in the bed but kept up my walking and sipping. Take care.
Glad to see you are home. You know it was all those sit-ups you did unhooking your leggings that made you sore. LOL
As for the red incisions, if they become warm to the touch or if you start running a fever of 101 or greater, call the doctor. Even if it is the weekend, call the doc!
You're going to do so well. Once again, welcome to the loser's bench!
