Pre-Op Diet, NOT
Ok I will admit, I was one of those people that wanted what I "thought" was a good last meal. Well I was totally suprised, I didn't enjoy it at all and it was/use to me my all time favorite meal. But that was the only time that I "cheated" before surgery. I did fine and did not have to be opened up. But like everyone on here says, it is always best do to as the Dr. says.
I wish you the best with your journey.

Hello Blush,
I have not had my surgery yet but I do have a date and I thought about that "last" supper thing and I realized that it's not the last supper after all. I thought about all of the foods that I may have taken for granted and overindulged in and I just plainly put it in my head that I've enjoyed those foods all of my life. I know what they taste like and I know how they've helped make me look over the years, so I do not plan on having a "last" supper, as a matter of fact my dietician plainly told me NO last suppers and I suppose I'm taking it to heart. Everybody is different but I'm just one of those "thumbs" that stick out, I guess. No harm done, I'm just learning to live without some things now rather than to wait and try to do it cold turkey. I suppose I've done a good job my BMI has dropped from 62 to 52.

Hi Blush!
I also had a "last supper". It was the night of the Tenn. Boards Christmas Dinner! So I ate and ate and ate and ate! Then I went on my liquid diet!
You will do fine! Just look at the finish line you are aiming for! I have a god friend that runs marathons. One day I told her that if I ran a marathon, I feel I would be focused more on the thought of 26 miles. She said that she just takes one mile at a time and keeps her eye on the finish !
Hang in there!
