SUPPORT GROUP VERY INFORMATIVE!!!

WOW!!  I truly enjoyed the support group last night that I attended at Baptist Hospital.  That was the first meeting that I had attended there and it will NOT be my last.  I can't describe how welcomed I felt by everyone.  Each of them truly wrapped their arms around me and considered me part of the group!  It was so nice to get to met people from the forum face to face!  Paula Duncan was the faciliator and did such an outstanding job of keeping us focused on the discussion at hand.  Most support groups tend to just be around how to get approved for surgery and really not offer much support for pre and post surgery.  I can't wait until next month...JULY 1...to get to sample all of the delicious protein shakes that they will be making!!  I am also hoping that others to meet new people next month...Until then....

It was nice to meet you last night too!  I am excited about the protein party at next month's meeting. You'll be a Loser next month and hopefully cabin fever will overcome any doubts about making the drive so you will be there.

YEAH!  for me.  You will soon too!!  I am SO VERY excited about next month.  I think it is so nice of everyone to share all of their delicious protein ideas!!  Today I have had a very difficult time getting my EAS adv. protein supplement down.  I could only drink half of it!!  So, I am sure by that time I will need lots of help!!!See ya

I know I should approach more people, especially those of you that I owe big thank yous :) I was actually sitting just a few people down from you between the lady who is having surgery July 7th and my husband who looks a little like Grizzly Adams.

It was nice to see you there last night.  We didn't actually meet but I knew who you were when you told your screen name.  I love the support group meetings.  I've been going since August of last year but I didn't have surgery until Jan 14 of this year.  I've met so many nice and helpful people.  The protein party is awesome.  We had one in November and I got some good ideas for protein.  I'm anxious to see what Paula's protein balls are!!!  Hopefully we'll get to meet next month.  See ya then and good luck on your surgery next week!!

Thanks Melissa!  I look so forward to next month.  As I am writing I am just thinking that  I will be post-op!  Right now...seems unbelievable!!  YEP!  Next Tuesday is VERY NEAR!!   

Good Morning Susan! It was really nice to put a face with your screen name last night!  I really enjoyed the format of the support group meeting.  Especially talking to everyone after it was over!  We are here for you, don't ever forget that!   Hope the liquid diet is going well.  Just think, it's almost over!  Well, off to work!  Have a great day!
