Update on Kathy
Hi, had surgery on my vocal cord last Thursday. On top of it all I am very congested and can't cough up the garbage. Still don't have a voice, in fact it's worse now then before. Before people could hear me, now it's just a whisper. I had to be at the hospital at 5:30am, then they said to come in at 7am, then it was 7:30, by this time I was already at the hospital at 6:45am. I didn't go into surgery until almost 10am, and was home by 4pm. It was a long day, and I just wanted to sleep. I had to be at Vandy compliments of the VA medical center to have my balance and dizzy spells checked. I kept falling asleep so it had to be rescheduled. That evening, my 5 yr old grandson, my son and his girlfriend plus her 2 daughters were all in my small motel room. I wasn't supposed to use my voice for three days. I mostly wrote things down, but had to whisper once in a while. This morning, I discovered I barely have a whisper now. I see the Dr. on Tuesday so he can check to see if the cords are working and that my voice is coming back in stronger. Boy is he in for a shock.
On a lighter note, my younger son and girlfriend are moving down this way in LaVergne and look for jobs down here. Then I will be able to see them more often including my oldest grandson every other weekend. I can't wait.
