I ran my first 5K race today and finished in 37:20. I wasn't sure if I could do it or not but I figured I would never know until I tried. I also got 3rd place for my age division, so that was a surprise.  Now I'm ready for the next race. Sue

Congrats on completing your 1st 5k. I completed my 1st (and only so far) 5K last November for the Susan G Komen Race for the cure. I finished it in about the same time you did - 37:23.  I really want to do it agian this year if I have enough time to train after the baby is born. I didn't realize how much I would like jogging until I started training and doing it. I am glad you are getting into it. I was so proud of myself after completing the 5k and not stop jogging the entire time. It was a major milestone for me because over a year earlier, I couldn't have even walked that! A couple weeks later, I found out I was pregnant so I haven't jogged since but I can't wait to start agian and hopefully even complete my next big goal- the 1/2 marathon next year.  Congrats agian!! I know how thrilled you are.

That is awesome, I can't even imagine running. Right now I am just hoping I can walk in the Walk from Obesity in Sept. All I can do is try, if I don't make it well at least I will know that I tried. You go girl. Cheryl
