Unexpected Treat at Goodwill
Last week, I saw an Ann Taylor skirt, brand new for 3.99 at Goodwill. I liked it but decided to pass. I saw the exact same skirt at another Goodwill… passed a 2nd time. Then while at the mall, I saw that the print in several forms (skirt, shirt) and decided I had made a mistake on the passing of the skirt.
I visited another Goodwill yesterday and was in a dressing room ready to try on clothes. Someone had left a whole bunch of clothes on the hanging bar instead of taking them out to the return rack. So, I scooped them all up and placed them out on the rack. There were about 4 items not on hangers, and one item on the floor. I hung the 4 items on hangers, left them to return after I was done trying clothes on. I then removed all the items from my buggy and hung them on the hanging bar.
Something just told me to go ahead, reach down and hang that other item up. Can you guess what it was?! It was the skirt that I had passed on twice, and had tried to relocate, and it was right there on the floor! Size 4 - white and brown flowery print Ann Taylor skirt in all its glory! I kid you not!
Tim always TRIES to teach me to be patient, and how things come to those who are willing to wait… now my point to him is: you may be patient, and it might come to you, but sometimes you better reach your hand out to take it… there has to be action on our part in order to receive the good thing in which we want! I could stop here and preach a sermon, but I’ll pass for another day. LOL
