Q is Graduated!!! Pat is a doll!! The inlaws are gone!!!
What a week last week was. I was in DC to start the week with my 8th graders, I returned home from 3 very very very busy days in DC to house guests for Q's graduation... we ended up with 16 people staying at our home....Anyway, to say the least it was great having them all here, for the most part... and very stressful as well. Pat's parents are a bit strange ... he hasn't talked to them in nearly 4 years and all his father said to me was, "Well, I guess you did lose a chunk of fat." Well, I guess that is better than... "You lost weight?" Anyway, Pat is a doll cuz while I was in DC he cleaned out my closet and even picked up a few items that now fit. Things had gotten a bit big... and baggy... He gave all the "big" cloths to his sister and mother before I got home... so I wouldn't have to deal with it. I will be heading home to kansas later this month for a weddng and I am on the hunt for a 188 Miraphone CC tuba... so I will be in and out for awhile... Pat is also starting a Master's degree this summer... he decided that it would be a good thing to do since management jobs seem few and far between at the moment..
That was so sweet of Pat to clean out your closet! Think he could come over and get rid of my junk too? lol. That was a strange way for his dad to say you had lost weight! My goodness. He must like large women if his wife and daughter are large. Did the two of them say anything about your weight loss?
Congratulations to Q on his graduation! YIPPEE!!! Is he going to start college in the fall? Does he know where he is going yet? So many decisions!
Sounds like you have had a stressful but very busy few weeks... but you seem to be in better spirits. Glad to see you are doing well.
Congratulations to Q!!!
I think Pat wins the hubby of the year award. How sweet of him to even notice what clothes needed to be removed, and then replacing them with clothes that fit?! Good boy!! Congrats to him entering a Masters program too. He's going to be a busy boy.
Hey, at least your FIL noticed your weight loss. The fact that your "big" clothes fit your MIL and SIL...I'm smiling for you dear.

Way to go Tawnya! You survived!!!!
Congrats to Q on his graduation, and also to Pat for making a big decision on his education! Now a big congrats to you! You are doing fantastic and it's shows. Not only in how you look, but how you feel. I can hear excitement in the words of your post. Keep it up!
Have a great day!
Tawnya ~
so glad you made it home safe and sound --- even if you did have to come home to your in-laws!
congrats to Q - and U!
good luck to Pat as he enters into his Master's program. And know that you'll be in my thoughts with all these changes going on! You are certainly entering a new chapter in life... if you're anything like me, it sure helps to have shed all those pounds so you have the energy for your life!! Congratulations, sweetie!
Wow, 3 days in DC with teens/preteens! Oh my, you are a saint!! And, so, apparently is your dear hubby. Mine is tickled to death with the weight loss, but I don't think it would ever cross his mind to clean them out and get new for me. Congrats to Q for graduation. Now, his life really begins!

I have not been posting as much as I use to, but I have been thinking of you even before your last post, since you missed the Baptist support group meeting. I have missed you, how are your legs since surgery??? I am also glad that it seems like you made it and Pat sounds like he sure is a lot of support at home, I do not know what some of us would do without the support of our spouses, they are also an important part of our success!! In-laws are funny individuals, just tonight my mother-in law was told how wonderful I look at Dale's birthday party by my neighbor and she said, well yeah, but just wait we do not know what this surgery will do to her in many years from now!!!
I guess if that was his way of noticing, then that is okay, but do not let them or anyone else discourage you. Remember, even silently someone is always there to support you, sometimes your biggest fan and supporter are those that are the ones in the backgrounds!! Are you still dancing, I bet that is a lot of fun, maybe oneday, I will be able to try it!, not so sure I want to loose my feet quite yet!!! LOL!
