Update
Dr Houston called me back last night and basically told me to pull up my "big girl draw's" LOL He said that the pain I am feeling is normal and that it's because of the suture they put through the muscle to prevent a hernia. He said that initially the more I strain that side the more it's going to hurt but that it will eventually subside. He said to just make sure to get my protein in and that I could go to stage 2 on Monday and incorporate my protein shakes... Yay!!! My incisions are healing up nicely though but still not pool ready which is a bummer indeed. I'm just hoping to be doing really well tomorrow so I can go get my nails done and go check out the blues music at Centennial Park (and get in some walking). Hey I was asking mike yesterday about it. I forget so much but that left side is where the put the "equipment" in during surgery... it hurts for awhile... is that the side that was hurting? Glad to hear you are doing good... Take it easy!
Yep, ya'll are right. They had to make that one incision bigger there because the equipment that had to pass through there. And, they suture through the muscle to prevent a hernia. I sooo can't wait to be rid of the granny panties. I've always wanted to wear a thong and not worry that it'd be lost forever.
I had the same problem! Mine came at 3 weeks out when I walked a little to much. In fact you can ask everyone! The first Lunch Bunch I went to after surgery was terrible. I could not move! It will get better though! Hang in there and throw those granny panties away, you won't need them much longer. In fact, I threw mine away the other day! LOL!
