I'm Home!

Just wanted to get on here and let you all know how I'm doing.  I just got home about 10 minutes ago.  Surgery went smooth according to Dr. Houston.  He had told me at the consultation that it may take longer to minde because of my high BMI and that it could possibly be an open surgery.  But, he was able to do laproscopic and it only took about 2 hrs which is pretty much the norm I hear.  The first time after surgery that they came to walk me I was ready!  I was very good about my walking and would walk at least 6 times a day.  My left shoulder hurt bad and was apparently from the gas they use to blow up the stomach.  I did fairly well with my liquids when I wasn't knocked out.  So, right now I'm doing pretty good.  Just hurts to get up and down.  So, there's the latest.

Glad all is well....Save me a spot on the losers bench!!!

WELCOME HOME!  And WELCOME TO THE LOSER'S BENCH!  The day you have waited for so long... its over...  its gone now....  your surgery is just a memory. But oh wait!  You are already seeing the marvelous results!  Congratulations

Welcome back Chandra and welcome to the loser's bench. Just keep your sipping and walking and you'll do great.

Great to see that you are back home and doing well. Get plenty of rest - which is much easier in your own home! Walk and walk some more to get all that gas off of you and don't forget to be sipping all day long. Sounds like you are doing wonderful. Keep us updated.

I am so very happy for you.  Sounds like you tolerated the surgery very well.  I hope that I may say the same when I have my surgery in a few weeks.  I look forward to reading your updates

Glad you are home and doing good. We told you that you would do fine.......LOL. Yeah that shoulder pain is not so much fun, but hey it's worth it in the long run. Take care and keep us posted when you feel up to it. Let me know if you need anything. Cheryl
