Hello everyone, My name is April and I have been a member of OH for several years and I love it on here, so much info and so many wonderfully nice ppl. I just moved back to TN from Pennsylvania a couple months ago and just now got my Tenncare Medicaid card from Americhoice. I have and appointment with my new PCP the 20th of Nov. and he is already my Mom's pcp and has been on her to have WLS and he said he would be happy to discuss it with me after he see'd my medical records from pa. So if I could get some prayers sent upstairs for me to finally after 6 years of trying to have the surgery, to finally have it before this time next year. Hi April, welcome home. I notice you live in Bristol. A word of advice, seek the Surgeons in Johnson City or Elizabethton. Bristols surgeon is over a year back up on the list waiting for a consult. When they called me that my name had come to the top of the list it had been 18 months since my name had gone on their list and I was 6 months out of surgery. I sincerely wish you all the best. I'm 10 months out this week and have no regrets what-so-ever in having the surgery. I lack 19 lbs now to my goal. You can do it, and we're here for you with support, prayers, answers, and advice.
