New to the Forum

I went to a Lap Band seminar a week ago and I am extremely interested in having this procedure done. I am in the process of completing the paperwork that was provided at the seminar. Has anyone recently had the procedure done?

Hello, Letonia. Welcome to the Tennessee forum. You will find a lot of great people on here. Anytime you need encouragement, they are all here rallying around you. I had the gastric RNY but I did have a friend (who is on the OH website) who just had the lapband. When she gets to feeling up to it, I am sure she will be on here posting away. She just had hers done a few days ago... Good luck on your info quest!

Hi Letonia .... Yes I have had the lap band procedure done just over a week ago I had a great surgeon and a wonderful hospital also .. Dr David Dyer and Centennial hospital in Nashville . Dr dyer is on the ASBS board and Centennial is on the Center of Excellence.. I had no pain no gas no nausea post op and i went home the next day have been doing well since and am now down 11 lb post op... this was the easiet surgery I have ever had and I have had many... my tummy has healed well too .. I am very pleased ..life is good! welcome to the board also go to the lap band forum, lots of help and support for lap banders .there I love it! .. Sincerely Arianna
