Kathy got some very intresting news about my neck

Well I went to the neuro surg yesterday and was sent straight to Pain managment . I do have a buldgeing disk plus several other compressions . I also have arthirtist in my neck . The nurse prac I saw told me she would not be suprised at all inthe disk buldged due to my neck being hyper extended when I was intubated for Surg .. they see alot of ppatients who never had one untill after a surgery . I am going to do steriod injections into the epidural space around the dixk for now .. I had the first yesrerday and can have 2 more 2 weeks apart . I will admit this is not a fun procedure but I am trying to buy time . I will have to have surg on my neck sometime in the future but both the Heuro and I want to put it off as long as possable . I am also back on the flexeral since it helps relax the muscles the nerve root is causeing to hurt Laura

Hi Laura, I never had a bulging dis****il after surgery, now I have two in my neck. Mine said the same thing that it came from having the weight on my neck and having to lean forward because of the weight in front. But I can't have steroid injections, and I dont want to put on any more weight, which steroids do. They make you gain fluids and weight from them. He tried to do my neck with a numbing caine but it didn't work. Have my breasts biopies today. He's not releaseing me to go spend the time with John for 3 weeks. I have to go back on the 30th to find out about the pathology tests from todays's biopsies. Then he is scheduling surgery to remove the left lymph node under my left arm. Jolly, I would rather be with John where it is warm. Oh, I will just have to wait another month as he'll be home for Thanksgiving. On new chemo pills for the leukemia. They make me sicker more nausous then the other ones. I need to run my neighbor to Wal-marts for her so I will catch you later. I'm sorry you have to go thru what I have to go thru. I'm supposed to be in therapy for my neck, but the referral was sent over by the pain clinic, and that's been 2 weeks and they still haven't called to set up my schedule. Love ya, hang in there, Kathy
