I am very excited and very nervous. I'm afraid at times that I am over thinking some of the things, like the protien and my hair falling out. I know it will be worth it though.

Its natural to be worried. This is a big life change, but I really think it has been well worth it. I'm 3 months out now and my hair really isn't falling out. I lose a few strands every day but not like I had pictured. Wait until you start experiencing the "wow" moments and then you will know it has been worth it. If you need a friend, count on me.

Hi Christine !, Dr. Rutledge did my surgery almost four years ago and he is wonderful. He is very honest and straightforward. You will go into surgery knowing everything about it and what to expect. You will be informed about everything that will happen and those things that could happen. He is a good Christian man also and even prayed with me before we went in. I guess I must have been the poster child for this surgery because I had no trouble whatsoever. I followed all instructions and did great. I've lost 178 lbs. i lost 100 after four months and lost the rest during the first two years. I was able to come off most medicines. Good Luck, Sheree

Knowing that Dr. Rutledge is a Christian was one of the things that helped me to know that I chose the right doctor.
