My daughter just changed jobs and now wears blue jeans & t-shirts instead of dress slacks & blouses. She brought a bunch of her stuff over to see if I could wear any of it yet. Everything is size 16 and they are loose!!!!! I'm not going to be in them for long. And they're cute too! I'm also able to wear a pair of size 16 Levi's my DIL gave me. Hubby loves the way they fit. I'm thinking maybe a 12 by the time I need to find an outfit for Christmas parties! I am so thrilled! I'm now down 85 lbs since surgery, 104 from my high. I've gone from a size 26/28 to a 16 in 8 months. Susan

Hey Susan, you're catching up with me. I also went from a 26/28 or men's 3x in sweats, to size 14 in ladies slacks, 16 if there is a zipper, and 14-16 in tops. Ain't it grand? I just bet that hubby loves those jeans on you. LOL, I can't wait to get to Costa Rica and wear this hot pink satin nightie that my friend gave from her clothes. It's a medium size. She gave me a tall white trash bag full, and that was just a fraction of her clothes. She has a lot more, but after 2 hours of trying on and everything but 2 items fit, I called it quits until after my trip. I'll be in the Nashville area over the Christmas holidays, and on Jan. 8 I have to come back to the Nashville area to see the plastic surgeon at the VA medical Center. One day before my 1 yr anniversary. yepee. I will plan on trying to get up with you girls when I get there. Love ya, and congrads on the 16 levi's. LOL, Kathy

The first university logo shirt I was given when I started at the school was a men's 3x. I couldn't button it over my stomach. The logo shirt I wore this past Friday was a men's SMALL and it buttoned all the way down with room to spare. AND, I wore it with a size LARGE skirt that buttoned up the front, no gapiosis! I refuse to wear anything with a stretch waist except for pj's. All of my slacks, jeans & skirts button and zip. For years I fooled myself into thinking I wore a smaller size than I really did by wearing stretch waistbands and stretch fabrics. No more!! If I'm going to wear a 16, it's going to be a true 16 with a non-stretch waistband. I've even bought a belt. For years I couldn't wear the belts that came with slacks I bought because they were too small. I got a size L because the XL was too close to being too big. I'm in the loosest hole but that's okay because I'll be able to tighten those notches as I continue to go down.

I bought a pair of ladies 16 slacks the other day at Walmarts, straight band in the front, elastic in the back and they aren't stretch material either. But ever since I had my tubes and overies removed in 1996, I couldn't tolerate a zipper in the front on jeans. My shorts are size 14 non stretch material but has elastic with a draw string which is good for me. Thighs are really big, but waist is smaller. Several of my shorts I put in a drawstring just to get more wear out of them. If I don't use elastic, I would never be able to get them over my thighs, where I was confined for almost three years in a wheel chair. That's where most of my weight went. So until the thighs are gone, I'll have to stick to elastic or stretch jeans. They would be too big in the waist if I bought them to fit over my thighs. Got to go get dressed, have to take care of my passport today. later girlfriend. Love Kathy
