I pretty much lived off protein drinks throughout the soft stage- Now,its something I continue to do as meal replacements. Its so much easier to do than figuring out what to eat - its such a chore! staples in my diet include: pre-cooked chicken breast (tyson, lois rich) sprinkled with low fat/fat free shredded cheese, a little bit of salsa added Lunch meat rolled up with light/fat free cream cheese scrambled eggs, omelets w/turkey and cheese - though sometimes the smell of cooked eggs makes me nauseous turkey meatloaf - I just eyeball ingredients ground turkey, diced onion and green pepper, bread crumbs (I make my own from low carb bread, placed in a 250 degree oven for about 25-30 minutes - you don't toast the bread, just dry it out. I make a bunch of dry bread crumbs at once to save time when cooking), egg, choice of seasoning - salt, pepper, italian seasonings, etc. a dash of low carb ketchup, worchestshire sauce any lean meat (turkey burgers, chicken breast) marinated in any sauce that sounds yummy and contains practically zero carbs and minimal sugars. This also moistens the meat. I have had no trouble eating meat. something that I absolutely LOVE - light Babybel cheese rounds. They taste so much better than the string cheese. 50 calories, 6 grams of protein. You can find these at walmart in their specialty cheese dairy case; usually located next to the deli Pizza 1 Small low carb tortilla - I bake in the oven to crisp it Once the tortilla is crisp, spread a couple of spoonfuls of jar pizza sauce (don't worry, there is minimal sugar content, hardly any carbs), top with choice of toppings. I personally like turkey pepperoni and low fat/fat free mozzerella cheese. Put back in the oven until cheese is melted. Hope this helps! April

Hi sweetie, you can take 1/4 cup of lowfat/ff cottage cheese depending on the brand is 12-14 grams of protein, add 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese cake mix has 5 grams and blend, makes a great custard. I have a food dehydrator that is great to dry fruits for a lite snack. I take a bottom round rump roast have it sliced 1/8" dip it into Dale's maranating sauce and deydrate it for close to 24 hours and now you have beef jerky, can do the same with deer. Chicken has to be cooked first. Five trays will hold 2 lbs of meat. I've dehydrated, apples, I have a corer and peeler that I got at Sam's Club. This is good especially if the fruit is starting to get mushy, 15 seconds in ho****er and you have a nice crisp slice of apple. I do the same with oranges at Christmas and string them on the tree great fragrence, afterwards don't throw them away, rinse them off, soak for 15 seconds in ho****er and they are just as fresh as when you bought them. You can do green peppers, red peppers, onion, carrots, celery, and celery flakes. Put them into separate baggies and keep in the fridge, then just add to soup or stews, or in a salad after they soak in water 15 seconds. It also makes a nice little gift at the holidays to do veggies this way, beef, deer, or chicken jerky, my sons love it. So I bought them one. Phillip and Silvia use theirs to dry out the hot peppers and jalapinos and hang them up in their country kitchen, then they just take what they need soak it and it's ready to eat. I can't stand the smell of scrambled eggs right now, makes me too queasy same as tuna, but remember you can substitute ingredients to be more healthy. Tuna with diced onions, (I used onion powde) diced tomatoes, one can of tuna, some fresh or dried Cilrantah spice and mix in some lemon juice instead of mayo. Great tuna salad. Sometimes I will by the 6 oz can of shrimps for salads, one teaspoon, a little ****tail sauce when you get to that level, and after 3 bites I'm full. There's a lot of protein in shrimp. Take boneless, skinless chicken breast, soak overnight in light Italian Dressing, then place on a grill, or an inside gorege foreman grill, that's about 4 meals for you on one piece and it's juicy. Since it's not Monday and it's diffently after 5pm on Monday, my brain isn't wanting to think. But I'll get back to you later. Where I had a big mole removed off my forehead yesterday, my right eye is swollen shut and black and blue, great new look for a passport picture. LOL, When you run across a recipe that is something that you will be able to eat later, make you up a little recipe book for WLS. They do have one available but I don't know is compliing it and how much it is. I'll work on that too. Love ya, Kathy
