I'm going to Costa Rica

Hi, I just want everyone to know I am going to Costa Rica on Oct. 20-Nov 18. I will be in touch every couple of days to check on y'all and give you an update on how things are going. Because of my low immune system, John is having me flown down by private plane, and to bring me back to the states. He's ordered another generator so when we aren't in the Marina, it is to be used just for my oxygen machine. He wants a list of all the foods I am able to eat, so if it can't be gotten down there, he will have it flown to us. There is a surgeon and his wife is a registered nurse and a PA in her own right, that will be monitoring me and doing my blood work each week. He is currently checking various hospitals in that area regarding potassium in case I need it. The embassy says that all my medications have to be on a 90 refill in case I can't get back by November 18, due to storms, or illness. Just keep John and I in your prayers while we are at sea. He's doing everything possible to make sure I don't get sick, that a hospital is within minutes of the marina, that oxygen is available for when we are out looking for furniture for his new winter home down there. I just have to pack, and when I outgrow those, we'll get more down there. I am applying for my passport on Friday the 29th when I get paid. My family knows his cell number in case it's an emergency, they know to call the red cross. I just need to redo my will, (since my first daughter-n-law) is soon to be my ex-dnl. And I need to assign someone whether it's an attorney, the Dr. that is traveling with the group, or John as durable power of attorney over my living will. My best friend is that right now, but she'll be in the states I won't be. So he's made his attorney available if I want to use him. I can do that all myself, I have the disk for wills, living wills, divorce papers, ect. Great piece of information to save a lot of money, all I will need is two witnesses and go to the court here in Morristown to be notorized and filed in Hamblem county. No problem there. If anyone has traveled out of the states and has some info that may be of use, please share it with me. This is all new to me. The main thing I am worried about is the killer bees, I am deadly allergic to any bee sting, and I will have several epi-pen injecters with me, but that is our main concern. I'm off for the night, I get my weekly bloodwork done tomorrow, and then tomorrow afternoon I will be having several molds removed from my face, ears, hip bone, and stomach. I won't know what it will be like without this big one on my face and ear. On Oct. 13, I will be having tubes put into my ears. They keep getting infected, so I am having a hard time hearing things. I had to have my younger sons ears done when he was 9 and they worked great for him. We're hoping I will have success with the tubes before having to go into major surgery. I go for pre-ops on the 5th of October. There just seems so much going on, and no time to think or get nervous. I'm more nervous about getting sick or stung then I was about having the gastric bypass. Off to and know you all are loved and prayed for daily. Kathy

Hey Miss Virgo, it won't be quiet, John has a laptop and it picks up satalitte towers for his laptop. I will be checkig every night or day when he gets a signal. At least I will try every day, but it may be every two days. I plan on resting, relaxig, and reading. Those are my orders the the boss so he says. This trip isn't just for us to be together, it's for me to rest and get stronger. Just send us your prayers for a safe trip and that no killer bees get to me. Love Kathy

Hi my friend, thank you so very much. He's planning on making sure I don't get stung by a killer bee, that I rest when I need to, and he doesn't want me to say I am alright when he can tell I'm not. I was doing my laundry last night, and wanted to start packing them as they came out of the dryer. I have 29 days and I am getting anxious. He has a new digital camera, hasn't figured it out yet, but he and I will be figuring it out together and plenty of pictures will be taken. We are going to make memories for me to share with my sons. He plans on me being around and him being around for a long time to come. He doesn't want anything to happen to me. I can't wait, I truly miss him so very much. Need to go, had that big mole on my forehead removed today, my right eye is swollen almost shut, and I'm to expect a black eye tomorrow. Lovel when I ave to go get 2 passports pictures made for my first passport, that will be done on Friday when I get paid. So tomorrow after I can take this big bandage off and just wear a regular bandaid on it, then I will go to Walgreens and get my pictures taken. I'll be checking this site about every other day or when ever we are in port. I will down load my photos from his computer and sent to my email address. Some I will want to have prints made of, and those we'll get done somewhere down there. If not, then I'll just send them to my hot mail account. Don't worry you will get to see them. Need to go, eye is closing up and it's getting harder to focus. Love ya, Kathy
