Thank you Sarina for keeping everyone up to date on my progress. I came home from the hospital Sunday afternoon. That day is pretty much a blurr because I had a horrible headache and was in quite a bit of pain. However, yesterday I was feeling much better. I started my B-12 yesterday and wow what a difference it makes. I had so much energy. But let me warn those who haven't had surgery yet....don't let it fool you. If you do too much it will catch up with you. Last night after taking a shower I was in the kitchen crushing my Protonix when I got so weak I had to sit down quick. Today has been good so far. Just trying to get my water in. Its harder to do then you would think. My surgeon wants me to drink 2 liters of water a day. Its tough! I ate a surgar free popsicle last night...it was yummy and nice to chew a little. I'm eating some sugar free jello right now. I think the worst pain I'm having right now is inside my stomach. You can definitely tell that everything has been moved around in there. Its very tender. Then incisions are not bad at all, they seem to be healing nicely. Well I better get back in my recliner. I'm starting to hurt a little. Talk to everyone soon Karen

hi karen, i am happy that you are home and well. try to take it easy at first, but as soon as you can get to talking a little it will take the pain away ( everyone said this to me and it seemed very annoying i mean who wants to walk after a major surgery, lol, but i swear it will help ) oh yes, have plently of water on hand and i hope you are feeling great soon. Thanks Jacqueline. I've been walking around the apartment a little more each day. My insides hurt pretty bad right now so I think I will take some pain medication and take a nap.

Hi Karen, glad to know you made it thru and are home. Here's a tip, the little pill cups that are given to you, are one oz and makes it easier to get in your fluids. Your sf jello, sf popsickles are also part of your water intake. The more you move around, the less pain you will have. Most of what is tender is from all the instruments and hands inside of you. That will go away. Rest when you need to but don't forget to walk more each day. That will also help with the built up gas inside of you. I wish you the best. Much love to a new loser, Kathy 277.5/165/130 surgery/current/goal
