excited,scared,and happy
Teresa Baccus,
YOU GO! And make sure you follow everything your doctor tells you. Relax and think soon you will be on the losing side. Get lose clothing and have someone to help you to. Take your time and relax you might want to bring a book or puzzle in case you are up too it. But you will be sleeping and walking for your legs. I wish you all the best. Ask several others who have had the surgery. Kathy and Sara can tell you what to expect atfer surgery and before and what to bring with you.
I wish you a lot of luck and hold you in my prayers.
Your friend,
Tina

Hi Teresa, someone on here namely Tina is using my name in vain. Just kidding. Take with you a small fan, your favorite pillow, robe, slippers, toothbrush and paste, hair brush. A book if you feel up to reading. I didn't, I rested when I wasn't walking. I have leukemia and on chemo pills, so I tired very easily and still do. Get some sugar free popsickles, sf jello, plenty of chicken soup or veggie soup for home. Just remember to strain the contents for the broth. I would add more water to the contents for more broth. The jello, popsickles will go towards your water amount. Just remember to drink plenty of water, and walk a lot. You can do this. The first place I noticed the weightloss was in my face and neck. That was after 2 weeks.
May God be with you as you go into surgery and guide you afterwards. Kathy
