Was in the hospital

Well on Wed. I had a EGD(I think that is the name of it) done, they put a camera down my throat and found an ulcer, I was written an RX, given the wrong RX.(only I didn't really know it wasn't the right RX) Thursday had another test done, the gastrographin(yuck!)along with the X-Ray. After that I went to see Dr. Dyer he told me I could wait a week to see if I can get enough fluids in or I could be admitted to the hospital right then. (YES!!!! Vacation for ME!) So I went into the hospital for severe dehydration, was hooked up to the IV's from Thursday until Sunday. I feel SOOOO much better now and can tell a MAJOR difference in the way I was feeling to how I am feeling now. I wish everyone wasn't so nice so then I WOULDN'T WANT to go to the hospital, but they are all AWESOME! So that is my story.

Sorry you had to go to the hospital but glad you are feeling better. I feel that way when my potassium drops. Hospitalize me. Food sucks, but at least I am not being stressed out looking at boxes constantly and no place to put it all. I'm sure it will all get sorted out, but I also consider it a vacation of sorts. Hope all goes right with the ulcer. Just remember you can never be given aspirin products from here on out because of having an ulcer. No Nsaids, no Toradal pain pills (they eat the stomach lining away) nothing aspirin based. Make sure your Dr.'s are always aware of that when they go to give you a prescription. I wish you well.
