Need Supportive PCP in Nashville

Hi! I just found out today that my PCP will not support my efforts for WLS. She does not believe in it! :-@ I need names of as many PCPs in Nashville that have been supportive of WLS. I have Cigna and that may or may not be the same as you. However, surely the more names I gather, the more likely it will be that I find a PCP that takes Cigna AND is supportive of WLS. Thanks in advance!

I can highly recommend Dr. Robert Neaderthal - 321-4646. He is located in the 20th Avenue Bldg which is located directly across the street from Baptist Emergency Room. He actually brought up the subject of WLS before I could ask him about it. He's very easy to talk to and takes the time to listen to you.

Dr. Tom Scales is in Medical Plaza I at Baptist, he is very supportive of WLS. Do you know if WLS is covered through your Cigna plan? If so, they require a six month medically supervised weight loss attempt first, then once you have that documentation, they usually approve within 1-2 weeks. Pam

Thank you for the information. I have an appt. in August with Dr. Scales and am very excited. I went to the Lap-Band seminar at Baptist on July 22. I am waiting to hear back and in the meantime will work toward what I understand needs to be done in order to have WLS in about 6-7 months. Thanks again for the help! Michelle
