I have just started the liquid diet for pre op and I am fine unless my family eats in front of me, then my mind tells me you are hungry, you are hungry, you want to eat, you want to eat!!! So today I had some pnut butter on a spoon and I would take little bits of it and let it kind of liquify in my mouth, is this really bad? The pnut butter that I have has 2g. of sugar and 8g. of protien in 2 tbs's. I don't want to keep doing this, but it actually satisfied my mind. What do you guys think? Can I just sleep for the next WEEK!!!???? And I missed my pre admin. appt. today at the hospital, I hope that they will be able to reschedule it ...again!

The more strict you are now the easier and more adjusted your mind will be after the surgery when you are ABSOLUTELY not allowed to eat something you are told not to. It's hard...totally hard. The surgery isn't easy right guys!

Hi Kim, peanut butter is fine for after surgery because of the protein, but if you are on liquids now, stick to the liquids, sf jellow, broth, soups, water. This will help you lose a few pounds prior to surgery, help shrink your liver, and help clean you out inside. my thoughts and prayers are with you, love kathy
