Finding a Doctor for post op care

I am 11 months postop and have not lost but 25 pounds . I have had trouble finding a Doctor for my fills. I found one in Jackson Ms. Went for 3 visit lost total of 5 lbs. and had total of 2 1/2 cc placed in badn. I honsty do not feel that anything was every dome I never got that full sensation that i have read you should get... I am now looking for another Doctor that will do the procedure under floroscopy.. I would like to know if anyone has had the same issues....

Robin, I am confused as to why you are just now (11 months after surgery) looking for post-op care doctor? Did you have surgery out of the country? If so, why did you not find your post-op care doctor before having surgery? did you just recently move? If so, it should be as simple as doing a search for surgeons in your area. If it is simply that you want someone who does fills under specific conditions which your current doctor doesn't use, then perhaps calling the different surgeons in your area will net you one who does. I did not have the band, but know enough people who have had it to be concerned for you that you do not feel restriction at all. I would suggest journalling food intake and exercise output as since the band does not cause dumping, it is easy enough to have soft calories slipping in that most of us RNYers simply cannot handle. Well to make a long story short. I had surgery in TJ Mexico. The Doctors assured me that I would have a Doctor name when I was discharged. Of course when I was discharged I was in know shape to ask that Question and it was not in my pack when I check a week later. I called the Doctor and they told me they would email the Doctors name well this went on for weeks with know answer back. I was not much concerned for the first couple of months because I was doing liquids and soft foods and loosing. When I got in to December I called and finally got a Doctors name and went for my first fill. after that I returned in one month as directed never feeling like I had anything done . At that point when the Doctor drew back there was not anything in the syringe. He stated that I might have a puncher and put some other type of solution in that was suppose to block to fix the problem but when I returned for the next visit one month later with still no feeling of fullness the Doctor stated that the solution was still there and gave me another fill makeing it a total of 2cc. He told me that I could not come back for another fill for two months. At this time I called and stated in one month that I still did not feel full after fill and returned for another fill 1/2cc more. The Doctor stated that I could not return for two months. Of course I still did not feel that I had had anything done so I did not return for any other visits. I have now found a Doctor in Nashville that will do procedure under floroscopy. I will now see if I have a leak or nothing was never done. I am hoping for the best. please pray for me. This has been a long road.......
