I have a DATE

It happened I have a date, July 14, I have all kinds of mixed emotions. I was over joyed when I got my date, then scared, now excited again. counting the days. My son will be home from the Marine Corps for July 4th, I am glad he is getting leave before my surgery, I want him too enjoy his time off. Then again I would love for him too be home with me at time of surgery. But I can't be selfish. I have all of you for support RIGHT?? Kathy, Thank you, I think the most memorable time I will try too remember going in to surgery will be when I watched my son receive his Eagle Globe and Anchor Emblem the day before graduating boot camp. That was a day I will never forget!!!! I am soooo proud of him. Can't you tell? You take care, Sarina

Sarina, I am so tickled for you. You will do just fine. I was so scared to be put to sleep. The thing about it was, I wasn't scared at all when I went down to the holding room. I don't know why, but I think I was so excited to be having this life saving surgery I didn't even think about the other thing's. I know all will go fine & we will be here waiting on you. Hey you, I knew I would hear from you, Thank you so much for being there for me. You may not be my "Angel" but yes you are!! Hope you are still doing well. The thing I am more scared of now is the IV I do not know why but every time I go in the hospital that is the thing I dred. My veins are hard to find and when they do they roll or blow!! Oh well no use in letting it bother me now I have 20 days left better use it wisly. Well gonna go for now. Luv, Sarina

Congratulations Sarina! I'm excited for you. I am in the waiting stage. I also am a patient of Dr Woodman's. My paperwork was sent to my insurance company on June 16th. Was hoping to have surgery before school starts because I'm a single mom and I don't want to have to send my daughter to school the day of my surgery but because she's going to be a senior she will have to be in school so she can be exempt from finals however, it doesn't look like that will be possible. I will keep you in my prayers. Karen

Karen, You live in Collierville, so do I!! I once was a single mom, so I know what you are going through some what. Maybe, If you would like we could go for lunch or just meet and talk. It is so nice having this board to be able to talk to people who are going through the same stuff. Have you met Dr.Woodman yet? I have read a lot about him being a cold person. He was not that way too me at all. Yes he is straight forward but he was very nice. Do you know what Hospital you will be at yet? I am going to Baptist East.
