Just a little disappointed.
Hey all. I went to see my surgeon yesterday & I had only lost 1. something pounds. I was a little disappointed, but I know it's where I am not getting enough exercise. I will be able to start taking some arthritis med's in about 2 week's, so this will help. Keep your fingers crossed that in 2 week's when I go to my PCP, I will have taken more than this off. I will be fine when I can start walking more. I can do some, but not the amount I need to do. Don't let this discourage anyone because I have such bad knee's they are having to be replaced as soon as I am comfortable with my weight loss. This won't happen to you. As far as everything else goes, I am right on schedule. The surgeon office was very happy w/ my total weight loss so I guess they know what is alright, at least I hope they do. LOL!!! (just kidding) You all have a good day & I'll keep you updated.
Sara.

Hi Sara,
Having bad knees, you would totally benefit from joining a gym and swimming and doing pool aeorbics. This takes almost all impact off the joints. It may be an expense for you to join, however it will be totally worth it.
I know a woman at my gym who's knees are totally shot....when I first met her she weighed probably around 500 pounds. She comes to the gym everyday and in the two years I've been there she's lost ALOT of weight.
Time to find a swimsuit and get to the gym. Don't wait for your knees to get better first.....it takes a very long time but building the muscles up around them will help them more than you know.
Try to find a gym that not only has the pool but a whirlpool and steam sauna also. This also is a benefit for your joints and arthritis.
Just doing it is the hardest part.
All the best
Kay
