Hey all! I have been reading everyday all the posts but I don't feel I always have anything to contribute to the conversations, but today I felt like posting an update of sorts. I had surgey May 22, 3 weeks ago tomorrow. My husband has insisted I walk right from the start, and now I actually enjoy it. I am up to a mile and a half each day. It was a struggle to make it around the block in the summer time before. That is what I am most proud of. The scale has been good to me, I won't lie. I have lost 41 pounds so far. What is most exciting is that I am one pound away from being under 300 pounds. UNBELIEVABLE! It's been four years! I am struggling with not being able to eat much. I don't have nasuea or anything, but in my head, I should be able to eat more! Thank God I invested in conseling to work through those issues. I am scared that all of a sudden something bad will happen and this gift will be taken away from me. But, I am so excited that it all seems to be working as I work 'it'. I just wanted to say hi and let you all know how things are going. I hope all the new post ops are enjoying losing as well Rachael

Rachael. Sounds like you are doing great. I haven't walked the mile or two since my surgery. I have a blood clot in a surface vein that makes it painful to walk on. But I do other things on the machines, just they won't let me to the stair master or the tread mill until the clot dissolves. Oh well, I get plenty of walking when I am at the store, or in my home as I am packing boxes. I wish you well, and sounds like you have a wonderful man to encourage you to walk. That's great. I wish you well, and much success. Love Kathy
