I just finished my last pre-insurance approval appointment. I am totally excited about getting approval. I just hope that it is approved the first time out. One never knows with Cigna. Just an FYI I am 384lbs, a bmi of 53....I hope to have surgery at Vanderbilt Med Center. And the type of surgery will be an RNY. If anyone has any suggestions for this stage of the game please let me know.

Hi Jeff, Glad you are here. As for advise I would just be persistant. I too have Cigna and they have not been hard to work with. I was approved after the first appeal letter. I expected to be denied after my first letter, that just seems to be the way it is done. It was only 8 weeks between my first letter and my approval. I'm 5' 5" and 222. I have a surgery date of July 10th at Vandy. Dr Melvin will do my surgery..........Terry

Hi Jeff, I had surgery at Vandy with Dr. Wright. Just bring ear plugs cause life flight is right outside your window on the ninth floor! Your just right up the road from me. give me a shout sometime if you have questions.
