Thanks Misty. The only thing that is going on w/ me, is I have no energy. I am weak & tired a lot. Other than that, I think I am doing great. I wish you the best of luck & a fast date. Sara.

Way to go girl. Now you keep up that protein. Your body needs it to be healthy. The weight will come off but keep up that protein. Beth B. in Chattanooga

Hi Sara, I've been wondering where you were. Glad to hear you are doing well. -You are doing REALLY well!!!- Keep up the good work! The energy will come back. I noticed my energy level getting back to normal at about 2 months post-op. I'm continuing to do well. I'm back on soft/pureed but only because I went and got braces 2 weeks ago. I don't know what I was thinking - I just got to where I could start enjoying regular food and now I have a sore mouth to deal with. I've been told that about the time my mouth starts feeling less sore, it will be time to have the braces tightened and it will start all over again. Oh well, I'm going to wind up with a pretty smile so it will all be worth it in the end. I'm also going to help with this year's Walk From Obesity. Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 7th and plan to come to Nashville for the day. I'll be posting more information after the meeting on June 9th. Take care, Susan

Hey Sara. I have been having problems getting on this site as well. Not today though. I am glad you are doing well. It's nice to know where I could be in a few weeks. It's been hard to stay motivated this first week. I am getting about 45-55 grams of protein in ech day, but it's a struggle. I can finally eat pureed food now so that's a plus. So glad you are doing well. Rachael

Hi Sara, you should go to your profile and update some information. Like your surgery date, the Dr. so all will know who you had and when you had your surgery. I'm proud of you. You can get a lot of protein in just certain foods. I don't take a suppliment, I eat white boneless skinless chicken breast, a lot of lowfat cottage cheese, boiled shrimp, Mild Cheddar Cheese. Anything that has protein in it, I will eat except for beef, pork, and breads. I am almost 5 months out, after 6 months, I will be able to eat anything, but I find I am not that interested in eating beef or pork. I just drive to Knoxville to Krogers and buy ground up chicken. Tastes just like beef when put in foods or as a burger. Turkey doesn't agree with my taste buds or stomach. So it's worth the 45 minute drive to the Krogers next to St. Mary's hospital to go and get 4-5 packages of the ground chicken. The only thing I do miss in the beef department is NY strip steaks on the grill. I even by buy chicken franks and eat it without the bun. Plus certain fruits have protein and potassium in them, plus the no sugar added juices. So I no longer take a potassium supplement. You can do this, we have talked about it. I am proud of your weight loss already. Keep it up and you'll be caught up with me. LOL Love ya girl, Kathy
