No More CPAP!

When I had my test 4 years ago, I had severe sleep apnea. I had over 675 events in one night and my oxygen stats fell to 63. Now, I had an oximeter over night to see if dropping the weight did the trick or I needed surgery too. WELL! NO MORE CPAP AND NO MORE SURGERY NEEDED! YEAH! YEAH! PRAISE THE LORD! I have no more "mask lines" I can sleep on my husbands chest. I can snuggle on the couch (and fit) and not have to worry if I fall asleep without my mask I won't wake up. THANK YOU LORD! Hi Beth, I had my sleep study last night, felt like my lungs were going to burst as I had no oxygen coming thru the tube. My bipap is set at 18 with 2 liters of oxygen. The tech said this morning that I didn't fit their criteria for oxygen. I have to take my oxygen when I work out, or I can't breath. I didn't sleep last night, yet she's trying to tell me I was asleep the entire time, that's how I knew certain wires had come off. If I was asleep I wouldn't have been aware of it nor how many times I tossed and turned, and was restless. My lungs were on fire with lack of oxygen. Every time I am scheduled at this one center, all I get is a restless night, and false readings. Now I will have to have another one scheduled at the other center and go from there. But I will make sure that I have on my oxygen if I have to drag my machine with me. I can't sleep flat as the leukemia is worse in my lower spine and hip joints. So I was in a lot of pain last night, and all today because of it. I'm glad you don't have to wear yours anymore. I wish I could say the same. Maybe in time. Congrads on not having to wear yours. I will always have to wear mine or at least the oxygen because the leukemia is a cancer of the bone marrow and blood so there is a lot of pain. My lungs are shrinking because they can no longer expand. And she said I didn't meet their criteria for some oxygen. What does she know? Even with some of the wires coming off me, she never came in to put them back on, so how can she get an accurate reading? I am going to call my ENT Dr. tomorrow and let him know that I want another one but at the other center. I always get great results, this one last night, never gives me accurate results. I'll let you know what I find out. Love ya, kathy

Hi Beth!! Will you even recognize yourself without the mask lines around your nose!!! . I hate that. I have a CPAP machine too and I can't wait until I get the go ahead to stop using it. It definitely kills the romance and intimacy!! hehehe. That is great news. Congrats. Misty
