Monday I met with my pcp to get a final weigh-in before starting the "pre-surgery weight loss program." Tuesday I met with the wellness specialist and Thursday was our first meeting. Its 12 weeks of exercise, diet and once each week there is a training/educational meeting where different speakers come. I officially went on my diet Monday and have done pretty good so far. I have entirely cut out carbonated drinks, sweets and bread (the bread is the hardest). And I worked out the mandatory 3 times this week. I am still a bit sore since its been some time since getting on the bicycles. 11 more weeks to go!

Way to go. Every step help you on your way. Keep up the good work. Bread is my downfall too. You can do it though, you are worth it. Beth B. in Chattanooga 319/277/162/150? peak/surgery weight/now/ goal?

Hi Melina, you can do it, and it goes towards your overall weightloss. The excersising will help you recover quicker and you'll be toned up after surgery and will be easier to work out after surgery. Just know that if you are sore, you're using muscles that have laid dormant for a long wile. No pain no gain. Keep doing it, and don't give up. Love Kathy
