Havent' been around i awhile, but decided to check in and see how everyone is doing....Just wanted to give an update....I had surgery on March 7, 2006 and everything went great....I was back at work in less than a week and did very well....I have lost a total of 52 pounds since Christmas and 37 pounds since surgery....I am very pleased.....I am currently losing about 1 pound a week, sometimes a little more, but I feel great......have lost from a size 2x in tops and 24 in bottoms to a Junior Large (some mediums) in tops and 18's and some 16's in pants....WOOOHOOOO!. I eat about 1000-1200 calories a day.....feel healthy, on no meds, except my flinstone vitamin and calcium....... Thanks for all of your encouragement when I was struggling with my decision, going through my elated stage when approved, my fearful stage as it got closer.....You all kept me going and saw me through....Thanks....to anyone lurking here.....if you need help, need encouragement, need questions answered......speak up, because the people on this board are great.....Kathy Newton will always be there for you, it seemed that no matter what was happening in her life, she always found a way give me a little note of encouragement....THANK YOU Kathy. Thanks to everyone on the board.

Lisa, gosh you have me blushing. Sounds like you are doing great yourself. I know I don't eat no 1000-1200 calories a day, maybe around 300-500 a day. But it works for me and keeps my stomach settled. I still drink broth at night when I take the chemo pills with milk instead of water. I'm planning on looking into the misses area by July, and not the womens plus sizes. Need to buy new super woman's underware in a smaller size. Now that I don't look like I'm 10 months pregnant. I praise God for helping me. Even now each and everyone on this board waiting for surgery or for approval is on my prayer list. You give me too much credit, I am here because this is where I am needed the most. God does the rest. I love this board, and everyone on it. They have been there for me when I needed help the most. I only give back, and it keeps my mind off the queasy stomach and pain from the leukemia. Don't be a stranger. Lisa you have a great day. With my love, Kathy
