I have a new face.....
Hey everyone, check out the new picture. I have my hair behind my ears as it was windy here in the mountains on Mother's Day. I am 200 lbs, obese, instead of 277.5 morbid obese. I actually weighed around 190 in the first photo taken i***** at my sons Eagle Scout ceremony, but I am slimmer now and in better shape and conditioning. If my ex's could see me now. Love y'all for your support, love, friendship, and prayers. And I want to Thank God for his devine help. Kathy

WOW! You look like a different person....I am amazed and so happy to hear that you are doing well after all you have been through....
I haven't been on the Tennessee board in quite a while, as I had lapband surgery, so I was on that forum, but decided to stop in and see what was going on......You go girl.

Hi Lisa, I was wondering the other day whatever happened to you. How are you doing? How much have lost so far? I still have my bad days and good days, but when on chemo, it's going to be like that. I go every Thursday now to Morristown for blood work and if the potassium or magnesiium is low, they hook me up to a pump. But I bottomed out on Saturday so I spent the night hooked up to potassium and just laid there on that hard gurney napping while it ran into my system. So I know it's getting low again and they will be hooking me up in the morning. It's a good thing I had a port installed. Otherwise my arms and hands would look like I was battered. I bruise easily now from the chemo.
Thank you for the compliment. I love shopping now, gone from a 3x to size 18 in shorts and jeans (elastic only) and 20-22 in tops. I'm not swelling constantly like I was, and I can actually see and feel my collar bones. Being able to walk with out the use of my wheelchair has been a God send. Except for walmarts, I tire real easy in there so my chair goes with me.
I'm off for a nap. I have a blood clot in my left foot where an IV had to be put a month ago. It's in a surface vein so I have to apply heat and elevate it, blood thinners don't work on veins only arteries.
You be good and check in with us once in a while. Love Kathy

Hi Toni, man are you looking great. I don't know at the moment when I will be back in that area, the potassium still keeps dropping, but I am shooting for August when my grandson in Portland turns 4. I feel great, but still have my good and bad days. I blame it on the chemo. Lately it's been more good days then bad. Blood count for my white and red cells are still in normal range. In fact last week when I saw my Oncologist, she said that even though I still have leukemia a cancer of the blood and bone marrow, there was no trace of it in my blood itself. That was great news. But with it so bad in the bone marrow, I hurt a lot especially in my back and hips. The large bones.
I'll let you know when I am coming, so we can get together. Love ya, Kathy
