Hey guys, is there a source online that can give me great ideas as to what we are supposed to be eating. I know for the stage I'm in 3 weeks out......that I'm in the semi soft/blended food. But I need to know what other options I have in food choices. I've looked everywhere and I'm out of luck. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Hey Toi, I'm a lap bander so I can't really suggest anything. I'd give the office a call. Alli is bound to have some ideas (the nutritionist). She probably has a list of stuff you can prepare. Right now with my mushies I'm eating scrambled eggs, tuna fish, poached fish, crab meat, chicken, etc. I just have to run it through the blender and give it some moisture. Marianne

refried beans with cheese, cooked pinto beans, northern beans, all very high in protein. There's scrambled egg with cheese, cottage cheese with fresh strawberries. If you have grapes at this stage, they have to be peeled. Mostly for the next 2-3 months you'll be on soft foods, protein first, like fish baked or on the grill, boneless, skinless chicken breast soaked in Light Italian dressing for 24 hours then put on a grill. Very juicey and after about 2-3 small bites you will be full. There's tuna, or chicken breast in a can. Since I live with a non-stopping meowing cat, I don't do a lot of cooking so for me one Chicken breast grilled will last me 3 meals. By the time I eat 2-3 bites of the chicken there's no room for anything else. Ground up chicken (Krogers) makes a great hamburger. Tastes like beef without the fat. Also can be added later to make chili, spaghetti, or as meatloaf. I like that part. I have real small loaf pans from the Dollar Store, so what I make I fill the pans, place them into freezer bags, then I just have to take out one at a time and pop it into the oven. After a couple of meals, I refreeze it for another time. Check with your nutrionist, he/she may have some clues. Love kathy
