Need your help, PLEASE!! PLEASE READ!!
Hello everyone, my name is Renee. I'm scheduled to have my Lapband surgery this Monday, 22nd. I have scared out of my mind and have really cold feet. I've read many post and researched lots. They are helpful to a point. If anyone or everyone wish to help me get through this time of fear, please do so. I'm sure it's normal to feel this way, but to communicate with people on a personal basis that have been where I am going may ease my fears.
Thanks to all in advance.
Take a deep breath, hold it...now let it all the way out. Repeat as necessary for nerves. It's normal to be nervous.
Think about all of the reasons that first lead you to consider this surgery. Are they still there?
You have done your research. You have read posts from so many people who were also nervous and scared before their surgery and now post about how wonderfully they are doing and feeling. You are going to be doing that too in just a few short weeks.
Take this weekend to pamper yourself and spend time with the ones you love. That will take your mind off your nerves and also remind you why you have chosen this surgery. This is a gift you are giving yourself. The gift of health.
We'll be praying for you and waiting to hear how you are doing post-op.
Susan
Hey Renee!
I'm Marianne and I'm almost two weeks post op with the band. While I don't know your situation, I can say this is the best decision I ever made. My surgery went fine, my recovery was quick. Less than one week post-op I was out walking a mile. You've done your research, you've investigated your options, now it's time to trust yourself. If you feel in your heart this is the right thing....go for it and don't look back.
If you'd like to email me privately, please do so. I'd love to talk to you.
Marianne
