I get on this website almost every day just to click on the before and after photos. It encourages me so much... and I wonder what my pictures will look like. I see someone who is my build or weight and then I think,... I can't wait til I look like that (when seeing their after picture). I have been working hard to compile all my doctor's offices notes and proof that I have been obese for more than 5 yrs. I am keeping a log of every single thing I do toward my goals and will be starting my required program at the end of May. I want this more and more every day... Thanks to everyone who has posted their pictures, and for telling their stories. It does make a difference to those of us who are still on the "other side"...

Hi Melinda, I know just how you are feeling. I have experienced so much help, love, friendships, and the support on this board is tops. I am hoping to be able to post a new picture of me soon. I will post what I was 17 months ago when I was holding my 18 month old grandson when he was one month. I was 299 then, now I'm 200. There's a whole new world out there, and I love telling everyone about the surgery and letting them know they can do it too. I haven't had anyone tell me that I should have just tried harder with diets and excersise. They're the ones who need the surgery. Most have been very nice about it and how much I have lost since then. Several have told me they are just waiting for a date, and who their surgeon is. I want everyone to be able to do what the rest of us have done, to be a loser. You will feel so much better, and will even love yourself more once you see the inches and weight just melting off your body. It's great looking into a mirror now and see the changes. You will get the thrill of being able to do that too. May God travel with you on this new and exciting journey to a new you. Love Kathy

Melinda, I am 2 weeks out tom. I can say I feel good. Still a little sore, but dealing w/ it well. This has been a life saver for me. I was a prisioner in my own skin. I could do nothing. Even tho I am still limited, I know soon things will be on the upward swing. I know you will be happy when your time comes. With a good & positive attitude, you will do well. Sara.
