It is now 12:51 am, I should have my skinny butt in bed, but I just have to tell y'all this. I'm melting away. I have lost as of yesterday 77.5 lbs, and only 70 more to go to my goal. I will most likely end up going lower as I'm 5'3" and normal weight for my size is 110-130. I will start having reconstructive surgery in late fall. Everytime I look in a mirrow I see a difference. I want everyone to be able to enjoy my experience when they have surgery, not the sick part with potassium problems, just the melting away part. It's awsome. Good nite, In God's hands, Kathy

Thanks Tina, but a lot of it I contribute to all the ing I do when I take the chemo pills at night. I hope everyone will have my success in losing their excess weight, but I don't recommend having to be on chemo every night to lose it. I have had no plateaus yet, but if someone is stuck at a certain weight, go back on liquids for a few days and that will help get the weight going down again. I need to finish up around the trailer, my son and daughter-n-love have already left Nashville and will be here in about 3-4 hours. I promise to not over do it tomorrow at our cookout. Love ya, Kathy

Kathy That is WONDERFUL! you are more then half way there! I am sure that you will be 120lb before you know it. I read your input on here so many times giving people good advice and feelings of understanding not just as a person reading this but as a friend.. Tell me about the reconstructive surgery. Do most people who have WLS have to get reconstructive surgery? That was one of the things that I am worried about when getting this done I am 100 lb over weight is mostly in my belly and upper body I think that If I loose alot of weight I am going to have some bad saggy skin on my belly...is this a prob for anyone? I have not checked into Plastic surgery so I dont know the price of it or anything because I am sure that Insure will not pay for that. Please let me know. Thank you TY

congradulations! I am so proud of you! I had lost down to 145 but gain back to 155. I have seem to be stuck at that weight or close to that give and take a few pounds. I fluctuate between 152-158. I am just happy to be around 150. We have not taken Taekwondo in a long while because our 15 yr son had eye surgery for Retina detachment back in October. He was not allowed any kind of physical activity at all for a long time because it could cause a strain on his eye surgery. He is doing well now so we will see when we can return back to Taekwondo. I been working a lot at work and we recently moved into a 4 bedroom 3 bath brick two story house. We absolutely love it especially our 5 children. I had hoped to get reconstructive surgery but have lost my tenncare. I am getting insurance through my husband's work. I will try again then. Again, Congradulations! Lisa 287/155/145

Hi Lisa, talk about a stranger. Thank you for the message. I'm glad your son is doing better. Did you buy the house or are you renting it? I like the part about 3 bathrooms. I have two, one in my room, and the main one by the spare bedroom. I keep it cleaned, since it's just me living here. Then my family or friends will have a bedroom and a bath to themselves. I've done the bedroom in antique gold curtains with matching spread with touches of green in the material. There's just a hint of burgandy in there. On the dresser is my bridal doll, an angel done in white and gold, and my other doll with all three colors to match. I keep my ceramics and paints in the desk in that room where I can work and not have to put it away like I would if it was on the kitchen table. I hate myself when I can't go workout. I do have a gazelle here for the saddle bags and butt, but I love going to the rehab and work out. I try to go at least 3 times a week, but don't always have the gas so I workout at home. I want to eventually learn to dance. Robert knows how but when he's here we are busy doing things that I can't life or do yet. Some day I am just going to have to set up an appointment with him to teach me. Then I won't embarress anyone when I am out dancing. Keep in touch, and I pray that all will be well in your home and that you can get back to your workouts. Love ya, Kathy

Hi Julie and thank you. I don't recommend having to take chemo pills to lose weight. They make me gain weight, but I just do a lot of ing in the evenings. I can't get in my 64 ozs of water a day never have, but I'm not dehyraded either. I wish you all the success in your journey in two weeks. May God be with you and your surgeon that day and always. Love Kathy

Kathy, Thank You for the inspiring words. So, did you ever think you would make it this size? Just think in a short time you will be one less person. What is the best thing so far since you have lost this much? I still have a hard time sometimes thinking this is actually gonna happen. It is such a blessing. I know there is going to be a lot of work involved but from everything I have read I think it really works. It is just hard to imagine me being a smaller size. Does that make since? I have been big for so long. Right now my BP is so out of wack but I know God will take care of that and I will be able to get it under control. I was rescheduled for surgery from the 10th to the 30th and I thank God for that now because if I had went in with my BP like this they would not have done the surgery so God is watching out for me even when we don't see it sometimes. I am having a little bit of trouble wanting to eat stuff that is bad for me-I have this thought well I better since I won't be able to later.... I know not good, I sure don't want to put any wait on before hand. I pray for strength and I know he will see me through. I pray your days will get better and better! Talk with you soon! Lots of love and blessings your way!!! Julie

Hi Julie, God gives me the strength when I need it the most. He's always with me and I love sharing him with others. I looked at where I would be in a year without surgery and what I would look like with surgery. I was in the Navy in the 70's weighing 102. I was 110 when I got pregnant with my first son, he and his family are here now for the weekend), I was 120 when I got pregnant with my second son. They're 29 and 27 now. What is the best thing since having surgery? I am walking. I love me now, and I don't have to use my power chair just to go to the store, I only take it with me when I go to Wal-marts as I tire easily from the chemo pills. I can now get down on the floor to play with my toddler grandson. I don't need help getting back up, I can cross my legs without having to grab a leg to bring it up, even then It was agony to do that. Now I can actually cross them on their own. I can do things now that I couldn't do without help. Like clean a bathroom, mop a floor, and even run a vacuum. Those were always the hardest because of being in a wheel chair. Now I can do them and it feels great knowing I don't have to ask my best friend to come over and help me change the sheets, or clean a bathroom for me. You will notice the weight loss in your face and neck area the first. Then you will start noticing it more in other places. I can't wait to post a new pic of me. I love me now, where before I had so many rolls and flab that I wouldn't look at me in the mirrow. It disgusted me, and I didn't like what I saw. I can't wait for your surgery, I want you to experience the joy of loving yourself and getting slimmer. Rule one, don't go out and buy all new clothes, you won't be in them that long as you work out and stick with the diet tool, you can accomplish every thing you want from this surgery. I need some shut eye, it's going to be another long day as we're having a cookout, and a couple of my friends who has had their surgery and tummy tucks will be coming over too. I have most of the food done, just need to make some cole slaw and the cheese cakes in the morning. Rather while the grill is getting hot, I will make them then. The potatoe salad is made, the cowboy beans are made, the chili sauce for the hot dogs is in the slow cooker. I have fresh strawberries that my daughter-n-love makes into a delious drink. I am going to pay very close attention as she makes it so I can make it later. Then I can pass it along to everyone here. You have a special day and know God is always with you. Love Kathy
