I'm becoming a mirror ho!
Everytime I pass a mirror I can't help but stop and look at my reflection. I just can't believe that is really me. Just in the last couple of weeks my body shape has changed so much. My b**bs now stick out further than my stomach - and my girls are DDs.
This morning I put on a blouse I absolutely love and always get compliments on but has always been tight in the hip/belly area (when I've been able to wear it at all). Today it floated down past my hips with room to spare. It's a semi-sheer georgette with a ruffle around the v-neck extending down the front seam of the blouse and ruffled cuffs. Because it's such a floaty fabric I hope to be able to wear it at bit longer before it looks ridiculously large.
Hi Susan, it's so exciting isn't it to have the dollies stick out more then the stomach and to wear clothes that aren't tight around the stomach or hips. I love looking in the mirror now, even now after a shower I stand sideways, front, and use a spare mirror to check the backside. I absolutely love the new me and the new waist. My dollies went from 51ddd to 44d, and let me tell you, I continue to lose 2 lbs a day. I'm at 200 now, that's 77.5 lost and 70 to go.
Non of my family has seen me since my surgery on Jan. 9. I just hope they don't keel over with a heart attack when they see me. Plus I am obese not morbid or servere but just obese. It's fabulous.
How much have you lost to-date? Where do you go workout at? I work out at a rehab in my PCP's building. It costs me 36.00 a month, and it has really made me love working out. I go three times a week, except this week I only went twice. I have a gazelle here at the house that I use for the hips and saddle bags.
You enjoy looking in a mirror, it's sooooooo much fun. Hang in there. Keep losing. Love Kathy
I know what you mean! I'm constantly looking at myself in the mirror..even though I'm a month out, I've had several changes in my body. My face is so much slimmer now.. I discovered a dimple in my left cheek of my face. I always had a slight indentation..but its a real dimple now lol! Last week when I measured, I lost 19.5 inches overall and about 30lbs. Clothes that didn't fit before now fit and my favortie pair of jeans are getting too baggy
I can't wait to start shopping though
This is truly an amazing journey!
April

I've lost 48.5 pounds from my date of surgery, 62.5 from my highest.
I work at a university so I have free access to the wellness center here on campus. I also have a treadmill and a gazelle at home as well as a set of small hand weights (a leftover from rehabing a shoulder a couple of years ago). I don't work out as regularly as I should, usually by the time I get out of the office it's time to hurry home and fix supper for hubby.
I'm going to my son's tonight, it will be the first time they have seen me since about 3 weeks post-op. I can't wait to see their reaction.
April - when you do start shopping don't buy too much. You aren't going to be in anything for long! I just got into the jeans I'm wearing today about 4 weeks ago and if it weren't for the belt I have on I wouldn't have kept them up today. I've found skirts and jumpers or shift style dresses to be the most forgiving. I love this life!!!!!!!!!!!!
