everyone, today is my 4 month anniversary of being a loser. I am down to 204 now from 277.5. I can't believe it. I can wear a size 18-20 in pants from 3x, and 20-22 top, the dollies are still a bit too big. So some of my shirts that I wouldn't throw in the dryer, I do now as they shrink. So I can still wear them. But my 22 size jeans I got into in February are so baggy on me. It's a real ego booster. I want to to for joy. Now if this clot in my leg vein would go away, I can get back to working out with my legs and not just riding the bike, I want to lift weights to make my legs stronger. OH Well. At least I am feeling great. It's been 2 and a half weeks since I had to be hospitalized from low Potassium. That is a major thrill. ing for joy on that subject. I'll be getting my 4 month blood work done tomorrow after I workout. Working out has become my passion, but I can only do so much before I tire out. I am actually loving it, and look forward to it three times a week. The days I don't go, I work around my home, plus I have a Gazelle for the thighs and buns. So I can still work on my legs. Each day I get stronger, still have to put up with the queasiness because of the chemo, and my hair continues to fall out. But that's life. I'll have to be on chemo for the rest of my life, so it's just something I will have to put up with. My older son, his beautiful wife, and my 18 month old grandson will be here from Nashville on Saturday. They haven't seen me since my surgery as they left for home right after I was discharged from the hospital. So they are in for a real surprise at how much I have slimmed down. I haven't told them how much I have lost. I want it to be a total surprise. Well, the belly is growling so I will sign off. Trust God to get you thru your new journey, with love Kathy 277.5/204/130 goal

Hey little one, you will be feeling the same way as you watch the pounds and inches disappear. Working out at first is a chore and boring, but now it's my passion. I'm down 2 more lbs. That's a total of 75.5 pounds in 4 months. Men can lose 100 lbs in three months, but it takes women about 6 months to lose 100 lbs. I do believe I will be over the 100 lbs come July when I go for my 6 month check up. I can't wait for you to lose that amount, and to know you will have a longer life span. Just think in about 2 years, you can start working on a little Jacqueline or a little Jack. I believe you are the youngest on this site, and a life time of happiness ahead of you. I pray that your anemia problems will settle down, I have had 3 pints given to me already. I am wanting to celebrate this weekend with friends and family not just because it's Mother's day, but to celebrate that it will be 3 weeks that I haven't had to be admitted into the hospital because of my low potassium. I plan on having grilled boneless skinless chicken that I marinate in Low fat Italian dressing, fish, cowboy beans, cole slaw, hot dogs, and hamburgers for those who want them, and my potatoe salad. My meal will consist of a small piece of fish and chicken, a small serving of cole slaw and just a little taste of my potatoe salad. I am making cheese cakes, served with fresh strawberries, and strawberry cool whip. There will not be any sodas at the party, there will be spring water, lemonade made with splenda, decafe tea with splenda. I might even sample my cowboy beans. My daughter-n-love will be making a strawberry drink. She blends in the strawberries in a blender adds water and just a bit of sugar and it tastes sooooooooo good. They had some made prior to their wedding for the family and friends that came by their apartment before going to the wedding. It was so refreshing and tasted great. I promise to not over do myself, as I don't want to get sick, or fall asleep while everyone is here. I need to get up at 6:30am, so I need to set my clock for 6am so my stomach doesn't rebell too much. I lay there just hitting the snooze for 1/2 an hour to make sure I don't get queasy. I will post how the weekend went. You enjoy your weekend, with my love Kathy

Thank you Beth. God has really blessed me with the will power and determination to make this tool work. I had my bloodwork done today for my surgeon. Everything including my white cells, red cells, protein levels, was all in the normal range. The only thing low was my potassium and it was 3.5, normal is 3.6-5. So I am not overly worried about it. I am down 2 more pounds since yesterday. That's a total of 75.5 lbs in 4 months. I'm at 202, and in the best shape, if I never lost another pound I would be content. They say it takes a man to lose 100 lbs in 3 months as they build more muscle, for a woman it can take up to 6 months. I only have 72 more lbs to go to reach my goal, but I have a feeling that I will end up going lower then 130. I'm 5'3" and should weigh between 110-130 is my ideal weight. I can see the differences every day. Before I wouldn't look into a mirror, I would sit in my power wheelchair to dry my hair, could care less about makeup. Now I stand and dry my hair, put makeup on, have joined a singles online dating. Met one that I really like. The others we are still in the phone/email stage. But now I have something to look forward to. Some one in my life so I don't have to always be alone. I can't wait for my son to see me. He's going to be really shocked. As for my parents and the rest of the family, they too will be shocked. Mom asked that I have my picture taken this weekend and send her a copy. No problem there. They are bringing their cam and digital camera with them, plus the other couple that had their surgeries and tummy tucks already are bringing there cameras and camcorder with them. I can't wait to see my grandson. He's 18 months old and I will be able to get down and play with him instead of being in my wheelchair. I will post this weekends events after they happen. I have a reason now to get out of bed, instead of sleeping most of it away. My sweat glands no longer have fat clogging them, because when I work out, I am having to use a towel now. LOL Women don't sweat, we glisen. LOL Well I have to get up is 6 hours to go see a kidney specialist as the chemo or the leukemia is affecting my kidneys. How are you doing, and where are you on your journey? Keep me posted, love Kathy
