I had surgery with Dr Joya on Apr 19 2010. I t was a great experience every thing went just as they said it would.I have lost a total of 382lbs and feel great. the loose skin is not that bad i can cover It up with cloths. i would take the loose skin over fat ANY DAY. I am very nervous about the whole thing. I have met with a few people who have had the surgery and they have all said the same thing...it has changed their lives. My biggest fear is loose skin, I am not sure if I can live with that. Buy on the other hand I am not sure if I can live with the way I am now medically I can for see many complications as I age plus the fact that I have back, knees and feet pain. I guess I just need to make the decision and go for it!

I am having surgery done by Dr. Aceves on Oct 19. I see lots of people that have had him. Dr. Joya - I have also seen many that have had him. Good luck with your decision!

I just moved back to Saskatoon and am curious about the same thing!
I know the forum group in Winnipeg where I moved from meet once a month, and they have found it VERY encouraging!!
curious if we could do something like that here?

weight loss forever is having a support meeting tonight( they have one every wen night). 7;00 -8;30pm@105-2103 airport drive.. this would be a great place to talk to someone. i know you would be welcome....
