I am just waiting for the confirmation but I do believe that my surgery date is also Sept 20th. Where are you going to have the surgery and what type of surgey are you having?

Hey Wanda,
I'm glad I checked the saskatchewan forum!!
CONGRATS ON YOUR DATE!!!!!That is awesome. And so soon!!!
I wish mine would be sooner but harvest comes first! (if the weather ever smartens up!!)
Anyway, all the best and if you're ever in Yorkton please don't hesitate to contact me if you'd like to.

Topic: RE: Surgery Tomorrow
Hey Tracy, I had second thoughts even after I had the surgery. During the first week I questioned myself and said what have I done to myself. Am I crazy? Luckily some of the members of the support group showed up and they all expressed that they had the same thoughts.
Now almost two weeks out I am sure I did the right thing. I already feel better, I no longer take medication for my diabetes and high blood pressure.
The biggest thing was not finding an educated pharmacist to know how it's going to affect your current meds. No more nsaid at all, no more slow release drugs, and if you take medication for depression or epilepsy you really need to talk to someone about it now before your surgery. Insist on it. Don't wait til after. This is because I have seen complications due to the inability to take certian drugs after the surgery. I had talked to my own pharmacist before but they had no clue.
I also wrote about some of my trials in my blog.

My surgery is just over a week away. I'm sure I will still have mixed feelings come Monday of next week. Having been there, do you still have mixed feelings about the choice you have made?

Topic: Very bumbed out!!!
I just found out that a very nice lady, who had her 6 month assessment after mine, is already scheduled for surgery. I am very bumbed about it. Really looking forward to getting my date and starting on my new journey.
Does anyone know how you get placed on the waiting list. I thought it was as you were done your 6 month assesment or is it as your bloodwork comes in because my work was very late.

How're you doing?
