Where are all the Saskatchewan People?

 Hey Everyone, 
I am new to the site as well.  I just finished my six month program in Regina for RNY but to my delight I found out that Dr. Pooler is doing VSG.  So I am going back next Wednesday to meet with him, to see if it is a better option for me.  
I would way rather get the VSG then the RNY so I'm hoping that Dr. Pooler gives me the go ahead!

 I just joined the forum and am from Saskatchewan too... there are not really alot of us here. Interesting information. In my first assessment appointment I made a bit of an observation though... People in the waiting room were all talking about their surgeries and the ones with RNY were so thin and had lost so much, yet the two who were similar post op who had the sleeve because they didnt qualify for the RNY hadn't lost as much and were still quite heavy. Of course it's all individual decisions. 

I have heard that right now the sleeve will be done only in special cir****tances.

"They will doing the sleeve on people who qualify for the gastric bypass but would benefit more from the sleeve such as people with liver failure,..."

As of right now they are not doing the DS."
