Need some Info

Hello people..... I will tell you a bit about my self I am a 24 year old male living in swift current saskatchewan, and I am seriously looking into the lap band procedure. I am 6' 0" and weigh 430 pds, I weighed 515 pds in October but in 8 months i have dropped 85 pds. Now my question to you guys is Where can i go that is not to far away from saskatchewan to get this procedure and that does not have a 3 year waiting list . Cost is not a huge factor due to my boss is paying for it to be done (yes I do have the best boss in the world) , but i would like to save him a few $'s thanks for any help you guys can give me

Hello Chris, There are many good surgeons in Mexico. If you read some of the comments from people who have had surgery done there you will find it very impressive. Most comment about the cleanliness of the hospital and very attentive staff. If you search the web you will find doctors in various parts of Mexico that perform the surgery. Most cost between $7500-9000 US dollars. Some have an all inclusive package that includes the surgery, flight, transportation and one night hotel stay. I have chose to go to Dr. Joya in Puerta Vallarta Mexico and am scheduled for surgery on June 29th. I chose Dr. Joya because of the reveiws he received on this site as well as other Obesityhelp websites (Alberta and British Columbia). The cost will be $8000 US for an all inclusive package. Hello Chris I am an R.N. and I had lapband surgery 3 years ago in Tijuana, Mexico, by Dr. Lopez Corvala. He is one of the proctors for Inamed the manufacturer of the Lapband. This means that he has taught surgeons all over the U.S.A. and Mexico how to perform the procedure. It was this credential that led me to choose him as my surgeon. He also has a great team including a psychologist, nutritionists, etc. I also do the "fills" for lapband patients in Saskatchewan, regardless of who did their surgery.
