Topic: Cheryl, will you marry me?
I know I am suppose to have a ring when I ask but, I can't wait. I just wanted you to know that I love you and I want you to be my wife. I have spent my whole life wanting to love someone like I love you and I have spent the past months showing you that I am committed to you and that I want to spend my life with you.

So, Cheryl will you marry me this summer?

Love,

Topic: post op 2-5 years ago HELP
Has anyone had gastric bypass (open) a few, like 2-5 years ago, and had nothing but trouble? I had surgery a couple months over 4 years ago. I had wonderful results -- was healthy and tiny and happy for 2 or 2.5 years. Then the problems began - I have gained back most of my weight, maybe not the last 10-20 pounds, and have done nothing but throw up. I went back to my Dr last may (2004) and he removed my gallbladder, telling me that would help. Well, it hasn't - I am sick all the time. I don't seem to throw up any food - just mucus and salivia. I dont eat sweets - as they make me sick sick sick. I dont do the "bad" stuff they tell us not to. The Dr. who did my bypass won't help so I am seeking out another Dr. The receptionist I talked to at the "new" clinic said she has heard complaints about the Dr who did the surgery --- he has been doing gastric bypass 20+ years. Thank you for any help. [email protected]

Topic: Cedar Point Update!!
So far there is over 50 adults and about 20 children that have said yes to wanting to go.....so for me this means that it is going to be a go....I will start making calls and deals with the park and thanks to one of the people that said yes I am going to check out many different hotels in and around the area to get the best deals for everyone...the on site resorts may be a little too expensive for some (me included) but we may be able to get a deal through one of the many many hotels in the area....please watch the main message board for updates as it is very teadious and time consuming to post to each and every board.....so from now on or until I can find a way to post to all boards at the same time....the main message board will be the cedar point update board. I did get the question of What is Cedar Point? Well let me tell all of you know that cedar point is an amusment park in Sandusky, Ohio. With many thrill rides and a very fun water park call soak city. Check out the web site http://www.cedarpoint.com Also there are many that have stated they are disabled or can't walk for long periods of time....well that is ok also....there are some things to do still and you would be able to hang out with and meet many other wonderful people that will make sure you have a great time!!! I will post in the next few days with another update!!! Thank you to everyone for helping with the survey and please also make sure if you have not given an answer yet to post a reply to this or to send me an e-mail at [email protected] and let me know if you like the idea and approx. how many adults and how many children you would like to attend. Thanks Connie Harris (lap rny 2/8/05)

Topic: Cedar Point Survey --- please read
I was looking into a family vacation for myself and my son and thought wow this would be a great thing for everyone.... My thought is (and I am willing to lead this if it is ok)...to go under the group rates and do two day slide and ride passes...and work something out with one of the resorts on rooms....(maybe they will give us a group discount and a couple of floors LOL)...anyway the passes would give us all two days of fun in the amusment park and the water park (don't know prices yet, but do know the more there is the less the price)....I have studied up on all of this and am willing to head it and get the tickets and individual information to each and every person (along with my mother Dianne Harris). I see everyone doing cruises and cook--outs and such things and thought this would be a wonderful idea because while reading a lot of the member pages I found that one of the main things that people want to do again or for the first time is ride roller coasters (me especially, i love them)...this would give the opportunity for those who have lost enough to do that...and for those who have not lost enough to do it yet to have a great time with other rides or just spending time with family and other great and wonderful people!! I just had my surgery last week, but am hoping in a few months to be able to ride those costers....So I was thinking this could be done the first part of Aug....but if I can get enough people that want to do this I will confirm the actual date and everything else in enough time for people to set everything with their employers and family. IF we do decide to do this and it goes well then maybe it could be an anual thing at a different park every year!!! Thanks and please let me know your thoughts on here or directly to my e-mail [email protected] also please state approx. # of people (adults and children seperate that would be interested in attending with you) this way I can get a general idea of how many there will be so i can get a close approx. price. Also I will make sure to post by the end of the week or beginning of next week on yes or no if we are going to do this or not....Looking forward to hearing from all of you!! Hello Everyone!
We are not ignoring anyone. We are backed up as we've never been before. We're training new, but only have a couple who can do this. I'm looking into oldies who've been around awhile to start training so we can train more. I was sending emails to a volunteer yesterday and seeing five and six of the same one sent. These are on my Eudora, so I can easily list by name and delete the duplicates. The volunteers get them from the server. If they waisted time in seeing if there are duplicates, it's take longer, as the server runs lots slower then Eudora on my PC does. So, many times, the duplicates are sent out to other volunteers and they waste time to see that they've already been done, when they should have been posting one which was not done yet.
When you receive the auto reply from photos.. please don't send again, you know we have it. This will cut down on the #s of emails. If you send photos to the Kricket account, or another volunteer, they will be sent to Photos account. So, again at the bottom of the list.
Also, a great time saver is sending in your Member Identification. This is listed on the main page under your Name. If you don't know this..then please make sure we have the same email address which is used on your profile.
This site has grown immensely and we're changing things to keep up better. It's not happening overnight. If it's found out that photos are sent to another volunteer and they are posting, that volunteer will lose access. It's not right for some of you to be waiting weeks and someone else sneaking around the system and getting posted in just days.
Hopefully, we'll be back down to where we want to be soon. None of us like making any of you wait.
Thank you so much for your patience and you all have a great day!
Love ya!

Hey Gang, Well I wrote Alex at Philly Swirl and he called me personally. What a great guy he is. He sounds like such a generous man! If you are unfamiliar with the philly swirls they are a Sf popsicle (taste like italian ice sorta) in many flavors, the cotton candy is to die for! They are only about $7 for a case of 40!! He is sending me coupons to pass on to family, friends neighbors. the grocery stores do not have them in SF but ppl other than us will probably like the regular. But Sams club sells them in SF for us!! Please guys get out there and try these Philly swirls. They are great and affordable. Sams club is doing them on a test run trial to see how they sell. So when you go to buy your case, take a second out to ask the manager to keep selling them there. Come on guys lets show these guys how much support us OH members can give them!! www.phillyswirl.com e-mail:[email protected] ~Lauri B

Topic: JEREMY NORMAN UPDATE 01/31/05
I SPOKE TO JEREMY NORMANS MOTHER KATHY TODAY, HE IS NOW ON THE 11TH FLOOR OUT OF ICU FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 10+ WEEKS!!
HE IS TALKING AND KNOWS WHATS GOING ON AROUND HIM ASKING QUESTIONS ON WHATS BEEN GOING ON THE PAST 2 MONTHS. HE DOESN'T REMEMBER THE BAD THINGS WHICH IS GOOD BUT IF HE ASKS THEY ARE TELLING HIM. HES DRINKING COFFEE AND EATING SOME THINGS NOW, HES LOST AROUND 150 + POUNDS WHILE HE WAS ASLEEP. ROBERTA HIS WIFE HAS BEEN WITH HIM THIS ENTIRE TIME AND SHES A PRETTY TOUGH PERSON IN MY BOOK PLUS HIS FATHER AND HIS WHOLE FAMILY. THEY HAVE BEEN THROUGH SOME ROUGH TIMES BUT IT LOOKS LIKE DAY BY DAY THINGS ARE GETTING BETTER. HATS OFF TO JEREMY FOR BEING SUCH A FIGHTER AND HATS OFF TO ALL YOU MEMBERS THAT HAVE PRAYED AND THOUGHT OF HIM DAILY. HES OFF KIDNEY DIALYSIS AND HIS LIVER IS HEALING, THEY REMOVED THE TUBE FROM HIS NECK AND ONE FROM HIS FOOT!! HIS WEDDING RING NOW FALLS OFF HIS FINGER SO THAT WILL BE A MUST TO GET RESIZED. HE AND HIS FAMILY KNOW THIS WILL BE A LONG JOURNEY TO FULL RECOVERY BUT LOOK HOW FAR HE HAS COME ALREADY. WHEN I SAW HIM LAYING IN THE HOSPITAL 2 MONTHS AGO WITH ALL THE MACHINES HOOKED UP TO HIM I JUST PRAYED HE WOULD MAKE IT. I WANT TO DO ALOT WITH HIM AS HE LOSES HIS WEIGHT THINGS THAT ARE SIMPLE FOR OTHERS TO DO BUT VERY HARD FOR PEOPLE THAT WERE OUR SIZE, I WAS IN MY HOME FOR YEARS WITHOUT GOING OUT AND WHEN I WENT TO HIS HOUSE SEEING HIM IN HIS BED BROUGHT BACK MY MEMORIES OF MY PAST LIFE OF WEIGHING 745 POUNDS. I WANTED HIM TO SEE IT WAS POSSIBLE TO START A NEW LIFE AND NOT GIVE UP ON THE OLD TIRED OVERWEIGHT ONE. I'M STILL NOT IN WHAT YOU CALL MINT SHAPE I STILL HAVE ACHES AND PAINS FROM CARRYING AROUND ALL THAT WEIGHT BUT NOW I CAN GO ANYWHERE, FLY ANY PLACE, DO THINGS WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND THATS ALL I EVER WANTED FOR JEREMY JUST TO EXPERIENCE A WHOLE NEW LIFE WITHOUT HAVE WALLS AROUND HIM. HIS FAMILY WANTED ME TO TELL YOU THAT THEY LOVE YOU ALL AND THANK YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF THEIR HEARTS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT AND PRAYERS. EVERY DAY HES GETTING BETTER ITS ONLY TIME TILL HES BACK HOME. THAT IS THE NEWEST UPDATE ON JEREMY NORMAN. THANK YOU ALL ONCE MORE FOR HAVING THE HUGE HEARTS THAT YOU ALL DO.
