One week ago this morning I had my surgery. I had open RNY. It went better than I thought it would & was only in the hospital for 2 days. My family has been great. I am getting this food thing figured out--- 6 small meals a days. My Dr. off ice said to spread my wings & try everything!! So I have had some good foods already & are going down fine. I have not been sick,or dumped. I finally had a BM, I coughed & sneezed too!! I walk outside everyday. My mom came to stay with me for 2 days. It was great-- she cooked,cleaned & took care of me!! We even did a little shopping, picked my daughter up at daycare & I gave her a haircut!! So, I have been active---- feeling really good!! I know-- don't over do it!! I won't. Today I have the house to my self & I 'm going to relax & watch some movies!! I am only taking 2 weeks off & when I get these staples out- I'll be back to work!!! My incision is HUGE -- about 16 inches long!! I acutally quit taking pain meds a couple days ago--- they are gross & I have tried everything to get them down.... YUCK!! I feel great- so I guess NO pain!! Well, just wanted to update everyone & say hi!! Keep your comments & helpfull hints coming!!!!! Love to ya all- Sheri (oh yeah!!! & I'm down a few pounds too!!) Becky, Thank you so much for the prayer. After reading your story about a month ago, I've had everyone on the south dakota board in my prayers. I'm glad things are going well for you. I talked with Dr.Gs nurse cheryl and she seems very nice. She has helped me set up all of my appointment's for april so we can the ball rolling after my preexisting condition clause is over with. I have had such butterflies, my stomach is so upset. I can sort of imagine what all of you have gone through. I can't wait untill it's my turn. Anyways, how have things been for you since your rebirth? Have you been feeling ok? How is the post op thing going for you? Kelly
