Hi Becky, My name is Luanne, but Lue for short. I had the lap-band surgery Jan, 18th of 2007 in Mexico by Dr. Pedro Kuri. I researched this for six months before I made my decision, & do not regret it. However, the place that I go to for fills is around $300.00. I was wondering what the fills cost in Sioux Falls. I can fly back down to Mexico because Dr. Kuri does them for free. My 1st fill was one month ago today & it was only 1cc & I have not lost a lb. since. I have lost 17 lbs. to date though. Also, the support group near me has disbanded for some reason. Any help would be greatly apprecieated. Thank you, Lue

Yep!!! I'm finally at 3 months post op!! WOW!!!!! That went fast. I am feeling great & am down 45 pounds!!!!!!! I am getting lots of nice comments from people.... so that makes it all worth it!!!!!!!!!!! Just wanted to update you!!!!! Thanks!! Sheri

Hey, nice to welcome you to our site. I had my surgery in June 06 and am down 130+ pounds. I had the RNY with Dr. Graham at SV Hospital - Sanford. We have support group every third Monday at the hospital, 7:00 pm. If you're in town, stop over. It is a wonderful support group and will help you while you get ready for your surgery.
