Just me checkin' in ..It has been just over 6 mnths since my RNY and I have lost 65#. Dr. Glatt and I seem to be real happy. Maybe I'll try to lose a little more but Dr. says that when I'm comfprtable and HAPPY with myself than I will know to stop. Hope this finds everyone starting a new year the way they hoped to..

I do have a question though, I just got my paperwork with my liquid diet in it from Dr O'Brien's office. It tells me what I can/cannot eat but it doesnt really specify how much I can have or if I am supposed to concentrate on proteins first or what? I am thinking of starting it Sunday but if anything I will call them monday.

Congrats and best of luck to you! If you need anything please feel free to contact me. I had an open RNY in Dec. 06, however I assist a surgeon with lap bandings and would love to learn more about them post op. Please keep us up to date! I will keep you in my prayers!

I am recently trying to go through my insurance company and I am too going to see Dr. Haley in Mitchell,SD. I am very interested in what he is like? I have yet to make my official appt to see him and would like to know before hand, My BMI is 40 and I am pretty much they say boderline with the insurace company too, Thanks So Much, Seni52

Both of the Surgeons mentioned above are with Sioux Valley Hospital (Sandford) they are with Surgical Associates. There are many surgeons in that office so, that really would be the best place to look. Otherwise in South Dakota, surgeons are few and far between in different towns (small towns).
