New to this site

Hi everyone, i found this site while searching the net today, seems like a great site for support and information. I have begun my weight loss journey. I had my surgical consult in january and then had my psych evaluation and nutritional evaluation. Today i recieved great news that my insurance approved the lap band surgery so im very excited. April 11th i had the required educational class, then as long as i have lost 10lbs or more with the 1200 calorie diet i have been put on my surgery will be scheduled in on may 11th. Im very excited and eager to talk to all of you whether ur thinking of surgery, had surgery or just on a weight loss plan. I am having my surgery done in Sioux falls, sioux valley/sanford bariatric centre, even though i live in jackson county MN. My familys primary care physician is part of the sioux valley/sanford so sioux falls is the closest place for me. You all take care

Good luck to you on your surgery. I am still waiting to finish the things that my insurance requires. I'm sure that you will enjoy this site as there are alot of answers to ??? that you didn't even know that you have.

Hey, nice to welcome you to our site. I had my surgery in June 06 and am down 130+ pounds. I had the RNY with Dr. Graham at SV Hospital - Sanford. We have support group every third Monday at the hospital, 7:00 pm. If you're in town, stop over. It is a wonderful support group and will help you while you get ready for your surgery.
